RevSpring, founded in 1981 and headquartered in Nashville, TN, is the incumbent in patient financial communications: it designs, prints, and delivers billing statements, then drives collection through its PersonaPay portal, payment plans, and omnichannel outreach. Its pitch is analytics: it scores each patient and tailors the channel, message, and payment offer from pre-service estimates through final payment. Buyers are revenue cycle and patient experience leaders at health systems, large physician groups, and increasingly health plans.

The company sends about 1.5 billion communications and processes over $8 billion in payments a year. Frazier Healthcare Partners bought it from GTCR in 2024 in a deal reported at $1.3 billion, and in February 2026 RevSpring acquired TrustCommerce, a healthcare payment gateway deeply embedded in Epic shops, extending it from statements into integrated payment infrastructure. It also won Best in KLAS for Patient Financial Engagement in 2026 and is pushing embedded AI, including a voice agent for patient billing questions.
